SINTEF Ocean attended the International Conference on Maritime Autonomous Surface Ship, which presented cutting edge works on autonomous ships to both academic and industry researchers, addressing current research and academic activities focused on the development of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS) technology and knowledge from all around the world.
In this unique framework, four new articles were presented:
A taxonomy for autonomy in industrial autonomous mobile robots including autonomous merchant ships,
The need for a public key infrastructure for automated and autonomous ships,
Integrating accountability in the systems design of autonomous and remote-controlled operations,
A framework for description of autonomous ship systems and operations.
