The German EU Council Presidency, the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) held the Open Data for Smart Mobility Conference 2020, which took place online on 17th November 2020.
The aim of the event was to favor the dialogue between actors from politics, administration, industry and research on the contribution of data-based mobility applications and innovations to shaping the future of transport infrastructure provision and management, mobility and logistics in Europe, focusing on how open data innovations can be promoted across Europe through policies and actions at European Union and Member State levels.
Plenary and breakout sessions organized within the conference, covered different mobility modes, users’ needs and diverse types of policy interventions. Successful case studies were displayed to demonstrate how open data and the digital transformation can contribute towards improving mobility for European citizens.
In this unique framework, Kongsberg Maritime presented AUTOSHIP during the Panel 6: Autonomous and Always Connected: The Ships of the Future with the presentation “With (open) data to the next generation of autonomous ships”.
Such a great opportunity for the project to be presented in front of companies, research institutions, policy makers, administration and professional associations from across the European Union and to have the possibility to share ideas with experts of the open data and digital applications for Mobility 4.0 field.
