The first General Assembly and Progress Meeting of the AUTOSHIP project was held from 23rd to 24th January 2020 in Antwerp, the second largest port in Europe, with the participation of a representative of EMSA (European Maritime Safety Agency).
The meeting focused on the progresses achieved from the kick-off meeting and, after a brief introduction of the project, each partner presented the results obtained in their work packages and what it is going to happen next.
The consortium also visited the De Vlaamse Waterweg laboratory, within which simulations for navigation in different weather and sea conditions are carried out. During the tests, the pilot can virtually monitor the speed, the surrounding weather conditions and the presence of other boats are carried out.
